I love autumn, especially as we move into early October. The quality of the light is beautiful as the sun moves closer. The blue skies are bluer, and colors are richer. Today I spent a few hours enjoying a perfect early fall afternoon at Greenfield Village. Of course, there were prime opportunities for practicing with the camera. "Pumpkins on a Stick" required me to get down and low to capture the richest oranges and greens. The garden docent said the plant has no relationship to pumpkins, and the fruit is not edible. But the pumpkins below in "Ready for Baking" will surely make a delicious pie.
